I.  God spoke the universe into being setting in place our environment (Genesis 1:1-5)

II.   God expressed himself to people initiating a relationship
   a.  God exhorted in a command (Genesis 1:26-28)

   c.  God excluded by prohibition (Genesis 2:15-17)
   d.  God encouraged through a promise (Genesis 3:15)

III.  People rejected God’s provision and prohibition (Genesis 3:1-5)

IV.   How do we hear God speak to us?
   a.  God has spoken in various ways—Look at Jesus (Hebrews 1:1-4).
   b.  The church is built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets—read His Word.
   c.  Listen to God speak to you.
