Proclamation and Proof   Acts 2:22-24

I.   Be Relational: Find common ground (Acts 2:14-21).
          a. Begin with a felt need
          b. Be bold with conviction
          c. Be reasonable based on evidence that would be respected
II.  Be Reasonable: Give evidence (Acts 2:22-31).
          a. Evidence for the true identity of Jesus (Acts 2:22-24)
               •   Miracles performed
               •   Mean men are responsible
               •   Mortality defeated
          b. Evidence for the resurrection
          c. Fulfills prophecy (Acts 2:25-31)
III.	Be Personal: How has God changed your life? (Acts 2:32-36)
          a. Testimonies of eyewitnesses (Acts 2:32)
               •   Despair (Luke 22:31-34)
               •   Denial (Luke 22:54-62)
               •   Discovery (Luke 24:12 and 24:33)
               •   Determination (Acts 2:14)
               •   Dedication
           b. Life-transforming impact by the Holy Spirit’s filling (Acts 2:34-36)
IV.	Be Practical: Invite a response (Acts 2:37-41).
           a. to repent
           b. to receive Christ
BE . . . Relational . . . Reasonable . . . Personal . . . Practical.
