Peter Mason, Senior Pastor

I sensed God’s call into pastoral ministry while I was a student at Wheaton College. I then earned a Master’s degree in New Testament Greek followed by a Master of Theology degree at Dallas Theological Seminary. I love studying God’s Word, encouraging people in their walk with God and reaching out to people who do not know Christ.

I have the privilege of having two of my grandchildren in the children’s ministry at Faith. They are two of the reasons I am passionate about reaching the next generation for Christ. I completed a Doctor of Ministry degree in Leadership Development at Denver Seminary to help me develop the next generation of leaders in the church.

My wife, Rhonda, and I have found Faith to be the most encouraging church experience we have had in our lives. Here is what we have discovered since coming to our church in 2003. People at Faith care for one another! They seek to follow God’s Word. This family of believers is committed to help their neighbors and friends come to know God in a personal, life changing way. They want to serve their community and reach the world for Christ. What has impressed me most is that the leaders of our church are humbly seeking God’s will!

If you are looking for genuine people, seeking to walk with God and wanting to help others, this may be the place for you. Come, check us out!

Bob Port, Executive Pastor

I joined Faith’s pastoral staff in 1990 working with youth and children’s ministries because I sensed God’s call to make disciples in the local church. I now oversee all of our adult ministries such as Adult Bible Fellowships and small groups as well as Men’s ministries and Women’s ministries. As the Executive Pastor, I oversee helping the entire church family put into practice God’s vision for our church.

I enjoy the outdoors. I earned a Wildlife Management degree from West Virginia University and a Master’s of Divinity from Trinity Divinity School. My wife, Julianne, and I have a daughter, Jess, at Gordon College and a son, Zack, at Syracuse University. In my spare time I enjoy woodworking and camping with the family.

Greg Shelton, Youth Pastor

I had the privilege of growing up in a loving Christian home, was raised in the church, and through these two influences on my life, I accepted Christ Jesus as my Lord and Savior at the age of ten while attending church camp. By age 13, I felt God placing a desire in my heart to serve Him one day in the ministry. Throughout high school I served as a leader in my youth group.

Unfortunately, in my early college years I drifted away from God. However, during my junior year of college I began serving in the college ministry at my church, and God used this experience to draw me closer to him once more. It was during this time in my life that I once again sensed God leading me into full time ministry. After graduating from college and working as an intern and associate pastor for almost two years, I felt God calling me to Seminary to further prepare for the ministry. I went to Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky and graduated with a Masters of Divinity in December of 2010.

My wife, Allie, and I met at Southern Baptist Seminary in August of 2005. As soon as I laid eyes on her, I knew she was the one. She made me the luckiest man in the world in December of 2006. And on May 25, 2012, Allie and I welcomed our first child, Darby, into the world.

Paul Taddeo, Worship and Media Arts

I am convinced that through a series of current events in my life that God is pursuing me. Ministry in Adoration at Faith is a means to testify to His wonderful work and grace in my life. The process of leading others into worship has been a calling on my life. I hope to continue in His work for as long as I am able and I hope to press on toward the goal set before me.

There is no doubt in my mind that God has placed a passion within me to lead His people to experience God’s presence through musical worship. I find it both humbling and empowering to serve in ministry as a child of God. In every way, my ministry is an outlet to make God known to believers and those looking for meaning in life.

I received my education at Messiah College, majoring in church music and minoring in business. I am married to Kathryn, my beautiful wife of ten years, and together we have two wonderful children, Sienna and Colden. I remain committed first and foremost to my family. They are my current and future support system and where I find great joy. I am so thankful for who they are and what they bring to the family to make it what it is.

Carrie Pearson, Children’s Ministry Coordinator

My name is Carrie Pearson and I will be joining Betsy D’Errico as Co-Coordinator of Children’s Ministry at Faith Baptist Church. I grew up in Glenville, New York where I became a Christian as a preschooler attending East Glenville Community Church. I was very active in my church’s youth and teen ministries serving seven summers with Children’s Sand and Surf Mission in Ocean City, New Jersey.

I attended The Newhouse School at Syracuse University where I received a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism. During my first career as a morning anchor, producer and reporter in Northern Maine, I recommitted my life to Christ.

By God’s leading, I left journalism and received a Master’s of Science in Elementary Education from The College of Saint Rose and began pursuing my passion for working with children. I love to teach! It is an amazing moment when a child puts all of the pieces together and understands something new for the very first time. I have had the opportunity to teach in three states and many classrooms.

I met my husband, John, at a mutual friend’s wedding and have been married over 10 years. John and I have two daughters, Emily and Abby. Our girls were born in Arizona and experienced their first snowfall after moving to upstate New York three years ago.

I love serving the Lord! Children are the lights that shine into the homes of friends and family, school classrooms, and neighborhoods. I am looking forward to partnering with the families of Faith Baptist Church as we work together to equip and train the children of FaithKids.

Betsy D’Errico, Children’s Ministry Coordinator

I grew up in Florida and went to Northeastern University in Boston where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. I also received my “Mrs.” degree when I married Rick just out of college! Most importantly, I became a Christian in college after learning of God’s forgiveness and love for me.

Rick and I have two children, Grace and Zachary. When they were attending Our Savior’s Lutheran School, I worked in the library where I enjoyed working with the students and school staff for seven years.

My family has been attending Faith Baptist since 2001. We have served in ministry together in the nursery, Children’s Church, Awana, and college-age ministries. We have also served as a family in missions locally and in Uganda and Ukraine. Before kids, Rick and I went on a mission trip to China to bring Bibles to the underground church. I have served on the Impact Team and together with Rick I am currently serving on the Marriage Ministry Team as mentors.

I am grateful for salvation through Jesus and want to serve Him in all I do! I am honored and privileged to be able to serve our church family.
